I made a bag,

out of plastic envelopes! you know, the transparent ones that kids use nowadays to hold their school supplies. Anyway,

I was too focused on getting it done that I wasn’t able to take step-by-step photos. So here it is- TSADA!

Good thing I still had some studs and a yard of silver chain!

I also placed my scarf inside the bag to give it shape and emphasis :D

Make your own now! Don’t forget to show me ;)

Friendship Bracelet, The First

I’m quite sure you’re familiar with friendship bracelets and I’m gonna show how I made one!

First, one will need a lot(and by that I also mean long) of threads. I used the following colors: pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and brown.

I also tried using one round bead as my ‘lock’ but then I was able to find a clasp- so I used that instead.

Knot. Knot. And knot. Just by doing the simplest knot of all on each and every thread again and again, I found myself at the tip of my threads. Try following the picture below!

I tied the threads together before knotting.. KNOTTING: So the brown thread went on top of the pink thread, then under the pink thread and over itself. I kept pulling the brown thread until it went tight to the pink thread.

(But as you can see from the picture above, I have already done the same thing to the yellow and purple.)

I did it twice for thickness. :D

(still using the brown thread) After doing some loops on the pink thread, I then did the same thing to the next thread in line which is the green one, then to the next thread- orange, until the last thread of the row- purple.

Once I have finished the row, I grabbed the first thread for the next row, that is pink and looped around the thread beside it- green, until the last thread of the row-  brown.

When I got the length that I wanted, I tied the bottom of the threads together, cut them out, did the lock stuff and placed some pyramid studs to add a little trend on the bracelet ;)

tsada!

Though I kinda hoped I had more colors/threads so that it would look thicker.

There are more patterns than this plain one of mine, so go Google it up and make lots of them!

Color It Red

Last last (last?) week, I bought a good pair of loafers from Primadonna and felt annoyed seeing them all get dirty easily. I think it was because they were light-colored and made of suede :)

So instead of cleaning them like every after use, I decided to paint them red as inspired by Twinky’s flats at Zalora!

I successfully altered my shoes just with the use of materials easily found at home.

1. Well of course I had my shoes to alter

2. Paint that should stick on suede. DEFINITELY NOT poster paint. dummy ://

3. Sponge (got mine from our old sofa hihi) for the application of paint

4. Tissue- can’t stop the messy stuff! (gloves too)

5. Water.. Though I’m not sure why I grabbed some..

6. Cutter.. Now for sure its out of the blue..

Oh and partly the most important- newspaper to lessen the hate-of-all, cleaning!

I started my little DIY by mixing two different colors of paint, that’s brown and red, since I didn’t want my loafers too red.

then I applied the mixed paint to my loafers with the use of the sponge that again I just got from our sofa :D

And after a few minutes, I got them all covered with the kind of red that I was hoping to achieve.

So yay me! for the totally new look of my loafers! But now I feel like adding some glitters or studs or spikes to go with the trend.. hmmm. But I’ll definitely add something or change red to something new new when I get bored/inspired. :D

BTW: If you find and/or do something fun at Zalora, don’t forget to use the code MidSummerWand12H to redeem a discount of 5% on your minimum purchase of Php500 ;)

When we got out of the tunnel, Sam screamed this really funny scream, and there it was. Downtown. Lights on buildings and everything makes you wonder. Sam sat down and started laughing. Patrick started laughing. I started laughing.
And in that moment, I swear we were infinite. ♥
